Pi Pizza Truck in DC

I haven't gotten to work on this but promise some upcoming reviews. The first will be Pi pizza truck that comes to Farragut Square every Tuesday. It's a deep dish pie with a unique cornmeal crust that came to DC from St. Louis at the urging of President Obama, who obviously wasn't counting electoral votes (Missouri vs Illinois). Anyway, even I, who never finishes my crust, eats every bite of the Pi crust and each pizza is piled high with a tomato sauce that taste like fresh tomatoes. Cheese is buried under the tomato and it is very refreshing. Cost is $12 a pie but you can easily share it with two colleagues. Pictures to follow. In the interest of full disclosure, son Neil runs the truck but I still think the pizza is worth following on twitter and Facebook! Their usual routes are State Dept., L'enfant plaza, Union Station, Franklin Sq. and forays into GW and Noma.
